Brief

Seven tools, grown one feature request at a time. Several of them overlap so heavily that no reader could say which applies to a given task — and the agent using them re-issues the same search three ways before settling.

Some of these should be merged. At least one should be deleted. The ones that survive need descriptions that draw a visible line between them, and parameters that say what they do.

Task
